Beck's Record Club

In all of my music blog reading, I somehow missed Beck's Record Club. However, while catching up on Aquarium Drunkard last night, I came across this little gem that could not be ignored.

AD described it best: "This track just sweats."

I popped over to Beck's website to check out the project and found the video of the recording.

Record Club: Skip Spence "Books Of Moses" from Beck Hansen on Vimeo.

Aquarium Drunkard also has an mp3 that you can download - do it!

The Skip Spence sessions have been the best so far, but the Velvet Underground was good as well. I didn't like the Lenard Cohen ones as much.

what a really great thing. I agree about the Spence session, it might be the most exciting record wilco has made in seven or eight years.
