The blog has been quiet lately and no one much calls for window cleaning this time of year so I thought I'd throw some videos around. Holler if one of them strikes your fancy and we can talk about it.

Candy Claws
My posts have been far and few between lately, but I have to say, I haven't been terribly inspired to post. That of course doesn't mean there isn't anything worth talking about out there. Take this band for example, Candy Claws, who are Fort Collins natives! Fort Collins! We have non-bluegrass bands here that are good! (Not that there's anything wrong with bluegrass...) They have been getting some national exposure and I wouldn't be surprised to see them on some 'best of' lists. Check out the local kids!

Something Unique
Considering all the music that's out there, it's hard to find a band that has a unique sound. One way to get around this (for a band) is to make their own instruments. I heard these guys today and liked them a lot.
"Dyer plays a modified baritone-ukulele run through effects that squeal with delight, while Sanchez runs his guitar-bass hybrid through two amps (one for the three low-end strings, another for the treble)."

50 Favorite Albums of 2010
NPR posted these today. Sleigh Bells, from post yesterday, were listed as were Brendon's votes for Sufjan Stevens and LCD Soundsystem. I'm not sure I really "get" the Sufjan Stevens album, but I'm not really sure I "get" Brendon either.
