Freedom in Music

Hooray for Barack Obama!!! I'm sending this to friends abroad and friends here in the U.S.

I hope to give you my good will. The atmosphere in this country and where I live is astounding due to the election of Barack Obama. I'm really curious to hear your stories from where you live. What does the election of Barack Obama mean to you and to the people where you live?

I spent 3 years of my life volunteering in community radio and producing public affairs in part to fight the Bush administration. It seemed this shift would never ever happen. I can't put into words what this victory means to me. It is truly an inspiration, a beacon of hope and long time coming. This election has revitalized my ideals, aspirations and faith in this country and in democracy. I can only hope that this victory is a signal to the world that we have realized our mistakes as a country and hope to heal the wounds through a new dialog.
Here is Barack's acceptance speech:

To celebrate, I linked some of my favorite music on you tube so check it out! Feel free to send back music if you like. Also, feel free to reply to all since everyone on this email list loves music. There are a number of countries represented on this list and it might be interesting to hear each others viewpoints and musical interests. Also, feel free to forward this on....

Freedom in music!
Big Hugs....
