The new Destroyer album is full of it. Which doesn't have anything to do with Dan Bejar's usual European Blues deal. There are a lot of people out there mining the 80s for, well, for whatever they can find back there. Which is interesting to me, seeing as I came of musical age to the rallying cry of "the 80s sucked." That was a pretty common mantra during the grunge era. But now we are getting great things like this:
Which obviously owe a lot to that sucky decade.
Whatever I decide on as my rallying cry today, I'll be sure to use it to full effect when I see Destroyer tonight. Do the Mario!
